The role
As an Electrical Trade Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams delivering complex fleet engineering work packages across nuclear and marine environments. This is a dynamic and varied role where you’ll oversee projects ranging from tens of thousands of hours to several weeks in duration, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Leading and supervising multi-skilled teams and subcontractors to deliver engineering work packages
- Planning, scheduling, and coordinating electrical and multi-trade activities to meet cost, time, and quality targets
- Ensuring all documentation, risk assessments, and method statements are in place and followed
- Driving a strong safety, quality, and continuous improvement culture across all activities
- Building effective relationships with stakeholders including programme teams, ship staff, and support functions
This role is full time, 36 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 07:15 to 16:45 and is based on site at HMNB Clyde Faslane.
Essential experience
- Demonstrating strong electrical engineering experience within a complex environment
- Supervising teams or acting in a first-line leadership capacity
- Managing or coordinating engineering work packages or projects
- Applying a safety-first mindset in highly regulated or safety-critical industries
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders across multiple disciplines
Qualifications
- HNC or HND in an Electrical Engineering discipline or equivalent qualification

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
