What you’ll be doing
as a Planning Analyst (Engineer):
1. Maintain and co-ordinate the performance reporting calendar, instigate submission dates for the reporting cycle, monitor progress responses daily to ensure accuracy, and resolve data accuracy issues before final submission for upload into the programme plan.
2. Monitor and support the release of new risks and build into the programme plan, maintain the programme within the planning tool, identify risks that are slipping behind plan/milestones and seek resolution or mitigation.
3. Consolidate, analyse and challenge performance data to produce a programme-level month-end report.
4. Facilitate challenge sessions with the teams, in the area, around progress and performance and generally assist the team in delivering continuous improvement.
5. Develop, update, and maintain clear documentation for all business systems and processes used across the organisation.
6. Deliver training sessions and provide ongoing support to project managers, project teams, and other departments as required.
7. Develop and generate reports for management and departments within the organisation, including KPIs, VoWD, asset reports, project delivery updates, and flash reports.
Base location: Hybrid - Can be based out of any of our sites (e.g., Bourne End - SL8 5NT and Maple Lodge (STW) - WD3 9SQ).
Working pattern or hours: 36 Hours per week – Monday to Friday (Open to flexible working).
What you should bring to the role:
To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need are:
8. Experience in a relevant industrial/construction engineering environment.
9. Good inter-personnel skills; effective communicator; numerate; literate; ability and willingness to train & develop personal skill base.
10. Highly IT literate, with experience in SharePoint data collection and presentations.
11. With planning programme experience, an understanding of the basic programming and planning activities of Capital works delivery.
12. Fully competent at using the appropriate Company IT systems – high use of Excel and Power BI required.
13. Ability to work with minimum supervision, under own initiative to deliver specified outputs.
14. Able to work in a fluctuating role, with different peaks and troughs during the month to align with reporting deadlines.
