Overview
The BSW Hospitals Group is seeking an exceptional digital leader to shape and deliver a transformative digital and data agenda across our three acute Trusts: Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust, and Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust.

Main duties
As Group Chief Digital and Information Officer, you will provide strategic leadership for the digital, data, and technology agenda across all three sites. Working closely with Executive, clinical, and operational colleagues, you will:
Modernise and integrate digital systems across the Group
Strengthen cybersecurity and digital resilience
Drive the adoption of new technologies, including AI, automation, and advanced analytics
Reduce digital exclusion and improve access to digital tools
Embed data-driven insight and decision-making across clinical and non-clinical services
Lead the implementation and benefits realisation of our new shared and integrated Electronic Patient Record
Provide visible system leadership across the BSW Integrated Care System
Your leadership will set the tone for digital innovation across the Group, ensuring our digital capability keeps pace with rising demand, increasing complexity, and the need for more integrated and preventative care.

Job responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Executive, and working alongside Executive, clinical, and operational colleagues, the Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO) will provide a critical role in enabling digital transformation across Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust, and Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Evidence of continuing professional, leadership and management development.
Professional qualification in a discipline related to digital technologies, innovation, or business transformation.
Experience
Significant senior management and leadership experience in the NHS or a similarly complex organisation, operating at Board level.
Proven track record of leading large-scale transformational change and performance improvement.
Proven track record of leading technology and digital transformation
Experience in managing large, complex budgets.
Experience and professional credibility with developed networks.
