Overview
Health Care Assistant Ward E3 - Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. This is a permanent role on Ward E3 (General Medical Ward) with rotation onto days and nights. We are looking for caring, compassionate, enthusiastic and self-motivated Healthcare Assistants to help provide high quality care and an excellent patient experience, working closely with the nurses and the multidisciplinary team.
This role is central to delivering patient-centered care, supporting patients with personal care, nutrition and hydration, mobility and safety, and contributing to rapid recovery and safe discharge.
Main duties and responsibilities
* Support nursing teams to deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
* Assist with patient personal care, nutrition and hydration, mobility and safety.
* Assist with patient hygiene and dressing while maintaining dignity and respect.
* Contribute to safety and cleanliness of the environment and maintain good documentation.
* Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, under the supervision of a registered nurse.
* Carry out ward clerical and IT tasks as required; perform routine administrative/telephone tasks.
* Support and coordinate with the team to ensure effective information exchange.

If successful, this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £54.90, deducted from the first Trust salary. You will also be required to join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £16.

Job responsibilities and person specification
* Experience: Essential – currently working or has worked in health or social care
