Support Worker

⚕️ Role Overview
We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Support Workers to join our dynamic team supoorting NHS FIFE. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to patients with a range of physical, rehabilitation and chronic health needs, helping them maintain independence and dignity during their hospital stay.
✅ Key Responsibilities
1. Assist patients with personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, feeding, and toileting
2. Support therapeutic activities and mobility as directed by nursing and therapy staff
3. Promote independence and emotional wellbeing among service users
4. Maintain cleanliness and a safe environment within the ward/unit
5. Report changes in patient condition to the appropriate clinical staff
6. Support clinical teams with observations, documentation, and equipment checks
7. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patients' holistic care needs are met
Requirements
8. Minimum of 6 months of NHS expirience
9. Care Certificate or equivalent qualification is highly desirable
10. PVG required (can be processed via Medacs if not already held)
11. Up-to-date immunisations: Hepatitis B, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), TB, and Varicella (Chickenpox)
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
13. Flexible and reliable with a strong work ethic
