Wood Digital Consulting (DC) is currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Lead to support one of our UK projects within the System Integration business. This is a hybrid role that can be based anywhere in the UK, mobility and travel to customer sites and face to face meetings with colleagues will be expected as required. Must be able to pass HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check. Responsible for the supervision and guidance of a deployed supply chain project team responsible for all aspects of supply chain management including materials management, warehousing, expediting, procurement, subcontracts, negotiation and reporting. Key aspects of the role include the supervision of the supply chain activities and assigned supply chain personnel working within the project. Clear understanding of the client's head contract requirements including Wood responsibilities and incorporates those into appropriate project supply chain strategies, plans, procedures and terms and conditions. Has broad base knowledge of commercial terms and conditions, interfaces with Wood legal/commercial experts and can under guidance initiate/discuss adaptations in order to reach a robust commercial agreement. Regularly monitors and reports progress of all project procurement activities. Ensures team regularly update reports / systems with required information to allow accurate reporting and escalates any critical issues and risks to project management. Establishes priorities, assigns workloads and reviews the more difficult and complex aspects of the supply chain workload Utilisation of Wood Approved Supplier Register (ASR) supplemented when required by project/client approved supplier registers for supplier evaluation, audit, and selection Carry out Supplier performance reviews and ongoing management ensuring corrective actions are taken where required Ensure that all statutory and legal requirements and procedures are complied with and all actions are fully auditable Ensures that supply chain team have a clear understanding of their role, supply chain processes and procedures and provides guidance, direction and support Promote safe working practices and demonstrate safety leadership at all times Act as a role model and champion Woods vision, values and behaviours Act as a role model to embed the Financial Management Framework across the business Implement robust performance management and development plans for the team, ensuring any gaps are addressed and development and succession planning is managed effectively Delivery against internal and external in year savings targets as per business plan Implementation of global / regional / country initiatives as per business plans Qualifications: Educated to ISCED Level 6 (Bachelor Degree or equivalent) CIPS qualified or industry equivalent Record of skills training appropriate for job specific role Knowledge, skills and experience: A good level of Supply Chain experience demonstrating results and progression to a similar position Subcontract Agreements and Framework Agreements Industry forms of Subcontract Logistics and Materials Management ERP systems Good working knowledge of Supply Chain QA/QC processes Client contract requirements Supply Chain Principles and techniques Experience of: Complex Commercial Evaluations, negotiations and terms and condition qualification Supplier Relationship Management Personal attributes: Excellent communication skills, written, oral and presentation Maintains a strong network both within and outside of Supply Chain department Positively maintain relationships with suppliers, clients and other disciplines Planning and organisational skills Enthusiastic proactive attitude providing inspiring leadership Ability to: Work as part of project management team Identify efficiency, process and tool improvement opportunities and successful drive through
