An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Qualified, and registered Dental Nurse to join our team at Ringway dental centre, Preston within the Lancashire and South Cumbria Dental Service.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual, with excellent communication skills to assist in the delivery of urgent and routine dental care. The post requires the individual to work 7.5 hour days, over a 7 day rolling rota. You must be a qualified dental nurse, and you will have a good standard of education and the ability to work well within a team. Post qualifications are desirable but not essential.
You will mainly work at your base clinic; however, you may also be required to work at our other clinics, covering sickness and annual leave. You will have opportunity to study for post registration qualifications including sedation and will have access to plentiful CPD and clinical supervision.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical and non-clinical support to Trust employed Dental Clinicians operating across Lancashire Care Dental Service footprint.
* Act as the link between service user and clinician.
* Prepare the surgery for the service user and assist the clinicians in a range of dental treatments.
* Assist in the provision of oral health care including the prevention and health education to individual Service Users who may have learning or physical difficulties, mental health illness, be medically compromised, dependent elderly or have a dental phobia.
* Undertake reception duties and carry out administrative duties as necessary.
