Job Description We are looking for a skilled Technical Surveyor with strong CAD experience to take on a leading technical role within our company. This is a hybrid position, splitting time between home, office, and customer sites for surveys and other technical requirements. The ideal candidate will have a background in surveying within the fenestration industry, particularly with products such as windows, doors, conservatories, and other related structures. You will be responsible for conducting accurate surveys, providing technical leadership in-house, and supporting the delivery of high-quality installations for our customers. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct surveys at customer sites, ensuring all measurements and technical requirements are captured accurately. • Utilise CAD software to create detailed technical drawings and designs for use by the installation teams. • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the in-house team, ensuring best practices are followed. • Work closely with both the sales and installation teams to ensure a seamless handover of technical specifications and customer requirements. • Split time between home, office, and on-site surveys, ensuring flexibility in managing workloads and meeting customer needs. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, including building standards and planning requirements. • Assist in troubleshooting technical issues as they arise during the installation process. Requirements: • Proven experience as a surveyor in the fenestration industry (windows, doors, conservatories, orangeries, etc.). • Strong proficiency with CAD software, with the ability to produce accurate technical drawings. • In-depth understanding of relevant building regulations and planning requirements. • Ability to manage a hybrid role, balancing office work, home-based tasks, and customer site visits. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with customers and internal teams. • Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
