Location: Pear Tree Cottage - Preston
Compensation: £34,000 - £39,000 per year (days) plus sleep ins paid at £60.00 per sleep. Opportunities to pick up overtime at an enhanced rate.
Hours: 2 days on, 4 days off (with sleep nights). 365 days a year service; rota given in advance.
The role
Pear Tree Cottage is a dual home offering a small setting for two young people needing therapeutic placements in small groups. The role requires a senior children's support worker or deputy manager to deliver high quality care, address educational and emotional needs, and support children in hobbies and interests. You will be responsible for building productive working relationships, promoting independence and life skills, and ensuring safety and well‑being are central to all decisions.

Essential requirements for a Children's Home Deputy Manager
* At least 2 years of experience in a residential children's home (within the last 5 years)
* Minimum 12 months of supervisory experience in a children's residential care home
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or higher
* Full UK driving licence
* Full right to work in the UK with no restrictions
* In depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations, expectations and best practice
* Values in line with Esland’s therapeutic, person‑centred approach to childcare
* Applicants must be aged 21 or above
