We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) Project Youth Worker to lead and develop DofE provision across North Lincolnshire. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people to build confidence, skills and resilience through a nationally recognised programme. You will have overall responsibility for the coordination, quality and growth of the DofE programme, ensuring it is inclusive, well-managed and accessible to young people from a wide range of backgrounds.

This role is for 10 hours a week, mainly during evenings and focuses on working face to face with young people in youth work settings. You will also support and supervise expeditions, which take place at weekends and during school holidays, helping young people gain confidence, skills and memorable experiences.

About the Role

As DofE Project Youth Worker, you will:
• Lead the planning, delivery and development of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
• Support, train and oversee DofE leaders, staff and volunteers
• Ensure programmes meet DofE requirements and quality standards
• Build positive partnerships with schools, youth services, outdoor providers and community organisations
• Promote participation, particularly among under-represented groups
• Manage budgets, reporting, data and administration linked to the programme
• Support expedition planning, delivery and evaluation, ensuring safety and good practice

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience coordinating the DofE programme or youth development initiatives
• Understands the aims and framework of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
• Is confident managing people, volunteers and partnerships
• Has strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills
• Is physically fit with the ability to supervise expeditions at Bronze, Silver and Gold level
• Is committed to inclusion, safeguarding and young people’s wellbeing
• Is comfortable with IT systems, reporting and programme data
• Is flexible and willing to work evenings and weekends
• Leads by example including volunteering on the programme

Additional Information

This role involves travel, outdoor activity and expedition work. Appointment is subject to appropriate safeguarding checks, including a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
