Overview

2nd Line Support Engineer – Milton Keynes

5 Days per week onsite – £35,000 - £38,000 per annum

2nd Line Support Engineer required for a leading client based in Milton Keynes. The role provides support for Microsoft environments across a diverse clientele spanning various industries such as legal, real estate, logistics, manufacturing, and more. Responsibilities include managing installations, upkeep, and resolving issues pertaining to Windows 10/11 operating systems on both laptops and desktops.


Responsibilities

* Provide second line support across Microsoft environments for a diverse client base.
* Manage installations, ongoing maintenance, and issue resolution for Windows 10/11 on laptops and desktops.
* Administer server operating system tasks and administrative duties.
* Collaborate with RDS, Citrix, and Hyper-V technologies.
* Provide assistance for smartphones (Android & iOS), tablets (Android & iOS), printers, scanners, copiers, and other hardware devices.
* Oversee Office 365 administration, including user account management and Azure AD, Exchange, etc.
* Manage Microsoft products such as Office, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and MFA.
* Administer backup technologies and antivirus/security software.
* Execute cable patching and utilize remote access tools.
* Leverage ITSM tools for streamlined service delivery.


Qualifications / Skills

* Strong 2nd Line support experience.
* Experience with administration tasks for server operating systems.
* Experience with RDS, Citrix, and Hyper-V.
* Experience supporting devices and services across mobile and desktop environments.
* Proficiency with Office 365 administration, Azure AD, Exchange.
* Experience with Office, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and MFA.
* Experience with backup technologies and antivirus/security software.
* Ability to perform cable patching and use remote access tools.
* Proficiency with ITSM tooling and delivering customer-focused service.
* Strong customer service and communication skills with a professional approach.
