My client is looking to recruit an experienced permanent, full time, Quantity Surveyor to facilitate the maximum profitability on the projects under their control. The Quantity Surveyor is jointly and severally responsible, with the Operations Manager, for the profitability of the projects under their control.
Role:
* To assist with the production of pre-commencement Commercial Strategies
* To assist in the agreement of clients sub-contract orders, in particular but not limited to scope, numbered documents, price, programme, terms and conditions, of any qualifications/exclusions, bonds, warranties to ensure the subcontract order reflects the offer/quote
* To ensure timely receipts of payments from clients for projects under his/her control
* Preparation of project related financial reports showing projected forecast cost and sales to Directors, for all projects under your control, on a monthly basis. This should include but not be limited to the implementation of cost reconciliation reports covering labour, materials, subcontract, plant and equipment, plant hire
* To undertake proper evaluation and issue timely notice of payments against sub-contractors applications for payment
* To ensure that all instructions and variations are priced and agreed with client.
* Preparation of Interim Applications for Payment to clients for all projects under your control
* Identification, valuation and settlement of all variations, including costs with clients
* Timely submission of all contractual notices relating to money, delays and /or disruption
* Timely production of financial claims for prices increases after fix price period expires for Director approval prior to issue
* Timely submission of Final Accounts with prior approval from Directors
* PAYE installer cost validation reports
* Preparation of Sub Contract orders and purchase orders for Director sign off prior to issue
* Form functional working relationships with PQS’s, Supply Chain, Clients QS, Operation Staff etc
* Process subcontractor payroll
