Role Summary We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales Leader, with a strong record of driving business development and successfully selling both standard and engineered solutions within the data center sector, to join a growing team. The role calls for someone with a technical mindset, at least ten years of relevant experience, and a proven ability to win new business while nurturing key accounts. Experience with cooling technologies is ideal. A well established network of mechanical and electrical consultants across the UK and other specific EMEA regions, along with strong relationships with data center end users, will offer a valuable head start. Some travel across EMEA will be required to support growth and maintain strong customer relationships. Key Responsibilities • Shape and deliver personal strategic plans that support growth across the UK & EMEA region. • Adapt your strategy to ensure our offering stays technically strong and commercially attractive while protecting profitability. • Manage assigned customers along with appointed representative accounts. • Present Munters data centre cooling solutions to clients and collaborate with applications engineering to create solutions that meet performance expectations. • Partner with applications engineers to prepare proposals that include equipment selection, pricing, operational cost analyses, and comparisons with alternative solutions. • Work closely with submittal, design, and project engineering teams. • Represent the company at trade shows and customer training sessions. • Prepare tailored presentations in Power Point and spreadsheet formats that clearly communicate the value of our solutions. • Host customer visits and support factory witness testing activities. Your work will include • Participating in regular performance and development reviews while staying aligned with agreed targets. • Keeping management informed about performance and identifying where improvement is possible. • Building strong relationships with existing clients and creating new opportunities through networking and targeted outreach. • Maintaining high level engagement with key customers. • Staying motivated and aligned with company wide objectives. • Working with your manager on corporate goals and growth plans. • Staying close to industry developments and presenting at forums, trade shows, and conferences to position Munters as a leader in the sector. • Exploring new business streams by understanding regulatory changes and customer strategies. • Supporting the development of innovative services that help our clients excel. • Leading and contributing to complex bids and partnerships. • Managing your personal sales performance including pipeline health and conversion metrics. • Engaging with senior management to support the culture we aim to build and to understand the challenges ahead. • Contributing to contract terms, conditions, and financial negotiation. Essential Skills and Experience • Strong understanding of the data centre sector. • A well developed network of mechanical and electrical consultants across the UK and other specific EMEA regions, along with meaningful relationships with data centre end users. • A degree or MBA is preferred but not essential if you bring extensive experience. • Experience leading major business development pursuits. • A track record of sustained sales success. • Strategic thinking combined with a creative and solution focused approach. • Strong relationship building ability with influence at senior leadership level. • Experience working across a matrixed organization. • Confident financial understanding. • Excellent project management, negotiation, and organizational skills. • Innovative mindset with a focus on growth and long term value. • Background in managing complex tenders. • Confidence in senior level contract and financial negotiation. • A strong commitment to confidentiality. • Willingness to travel some of the time across EMEA as required. Education • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or equivalent technical knowledge.
