Offer description

Overview

As a Support Worker, you'll ensure that the people we support are able to live their lives independently and engage in daily enrichment activities, while receiving focused, tailored support where needed.

We are looking for team members who are passionate about delivering excellent care and support, celebrating achievements, and encouraging fun and creativity. Sound like you?

About the People and Their Home

The people at Charmandean Rd enjoy sensory activities, music therapy, water play, and community outings! Our home supports adults with complex needs including PICA, Cri Du Chat Syndrome, and learning disabilities in Worthing. The people we support each have unique goals – from experiencing meaningful sensory experiences to developing communication skills through visual aids and limited Makaton. Our Support Workers use person‑centred approaches to help residents engage with their environment, creating opportunities for choice and sensory stimulation.

Through regular community visits, in‑home activities, and personalized support, you’ll be part of a compassionate team that helps each person express themselves in their own way and live a fulfilling life where they feel valued and understood.

Responsibilities

• Ensure individuals receive person‑centred support that promotes independence and daily enrichment. • Participate in community visits and in‑home activities to facilitate sensory and skill development. • Use visual aids and limited Makaton to support communication as needed.

Qualifications

• Passionate, hard‑working, and empathetic. • Some experience of healthcare work is beneficial but not required – full training is provided.

Working Around Your Commitments

You will support people both in their home and in their local communities and we have a range of working patterns to suit you, including full time, part time and flexible opportunities.

Our Extensive Benefits

• Flexible hours to suit a range of lifestyles.

• Career progression and training opportunities.

• Employee welfare and wellbeing initiatives.

• Recognition schemes, team events and social activities.

• Employee discount schemes across a range of retailers and services.

• Wagestream – a financial health app that gives you the ability to receive optional pay advances.

• Staff incentive schemes such as Refer a Friend, Employee of the Month and Heroes Awards.

• A structured career pathway that rewards your development – we call this Career Adventures.
