SEN Teaching Assistant – Enfield Location: Enfield Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Long-term ⏰ Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm Wayman Education is looking for a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm, inclusive, and supportive Primary School in Enfield. This is a long-term position working closely with a pupil who has additional learning needs and may sometimes present challenging behaviour. The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, and passionate about helping children thrive academically and emotionally. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with special educational needs, ensuring they feel included, engaged, and confident in lessons. Build positive, trusting relationships to promote independence and progress. Assist the class teacher with day-to-day activities, helping to maintain a calm and inclusive learning environment. Understand and respond to a range of needs, from mild to complex. Follow detailed EHCPs and collaborate closely with the SENCO and wider school team. Work flexibly across EYFS to KS2 as needed. What We’re Looking For Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school or similar setting. A calm, patient, and compassionate approach with strong relationship-building skills. The right to work in the UK. A valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply). Two professional references.
