Overview
We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our wonderful nursing team on a full-time basis. The role will be situated across both our Yeovil and Sherborne sites, with a predominant focus on small animal nursing with occasional farm animal procedures. We are seeking someone with a strong team ethic, where the patient and client journey is of the highest standard, and we are keen to support further learning and development with CPD, special interests and certificates encouraged.

Kingston Veterinary Group is a long-established group of 3 practices in the heart of Somerset and Dorset. We operate across three locations, offering Small Animal, Equine, and Farm animal care, all conveniently situated close to each other. Our state-of-the-art facilities enable our clinical team to deliver veterinary care with a focus on maintaining high clinical standards, which we continually strive to develop and enhance.
We are dedicated to providing exceptional veterinary care to all of our patients and clients, whilst prioritising staff wellbeing and development. We have a wonderful, purpose-built premises located in Sherborne, complete with dental suite, imaging suite, separate cat and dog and isolation facilities, laboratory room, farm procedure room and large species split waiting room, along with a host of offices and a separate nurses office upstairs.
Our team
We have a very strong and supportive team, consisting of Clinical Directors, Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses, Student Veterinary Nurse, Reception and administration teams who are all led and supported by our Director of Practice. Supporting one another and prioritising staff wellbeing is central to our culture.
What you\'ll bring
* Experience of working in veterinary practice with hands-on experience in a clinical setting
* Proficiency in laboratory procedures related to animal care and diagnostics
* Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
* Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
* A compassionate approach towards animals and their owners, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
Working hours
This position is 40 hours per week including a 1 in 4 Saturday rota.
