This vacancy is for Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time, Fixed Term Part Time and Casual appointments. Fixed Term and Casual appointments will be made with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.


What is our Nurse Educator role?

The Nurse Educator plays a key leadership role in shaping high-quality nursing education across Sir Charles Gairdner Osborne Park Health Care Group. This position is responsible for the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of effective education and development programs that are responsive to organisational priorities and support the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.

The Nurse Educator provides professional leadership to nursing staff and Staff Development Nurses, contributes to organisational capability building, and practices as a Senior Registered Nurse in accordance with NMHS values and professional standards.SCGOPHCG is currently transitioning to a centralised, nurse-led Model of Service for education, delivering coordinated, consistent and high-quality learning across the organisation. The service supports nurses across the continuum of practice and enables educators to influence system-wide workforce development, safety and quality outcomes.

This role reports to the Coordinator of Nursing and works closely with clinical leaders, educators and service partners across the organisation.
