We’re recruiting for a Credit Controller to join a logistics business in Southampton for a 1–2 month temporary contract. You’ll be supporting the Finance Director and wider team by keeping on top of collections, maintaining accurate ledgers, and helping ensure cash flow runs smoothly during a busy period. You’ll be based in their welcoming Southampton office, working alongside a small, supportive finance team that values reliability, teamwork, and getting the job done right. What you’ll be doing: Managing the credit control process — chasing debt by phone, email, and letter Allocating incoming payments and maintaining the sales ledger Producing aged debt reports and updating records accurately Liaising with customers to resolve queries and agree payment plans Supporting the Finance Director and team with ad hoc credit tasks as required What you’ll need: Previous experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role Confident communication skills and a polite, professional phone manner Attention to detail and accuracy when managing customer accounts A proactive, can-do attitude and ability to work independently Experience with SAP or similar systems would be an advantage (but not essential) What you’ll get: Flexible working hours (Monday to Friday, full-time) Free onsite parking Supportive, down-to-earth team culture in a long-established business The chance to gain valuable experience and keep your skills sharp If you’re available immediately (or at short notice) and want to join a welcoming business where you can make a difference straight away, we’d love to hear from you.
