About The Business Unit
We help conceive, drive, and implement transport solutions for cities, regions, and asset owners/operators. Our planning, engineering, environmental and management skills cover the whole project cycle, from business case to construction and handover.
About The Role
Mott MacDonald is a global leader in advising clients across all infrastructure sectors. Our Ports, Coastal and Offshore (PCO) team is growing, delivering ports projects including container, ro-ro and energy terminals in locations such as the US, Canada, The Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Senegal, and the UK. Specialist areas include metocean and hydrodynamic investigations, port masterplanning, feasibility assessments, FEED, to detailed design, D&B, construction documentation and site supervision. We aim to apply digital, carbon and positive social outcomes appraisal to provide optimal client solutions.
As a key member of the PCO team, you will influence maritime projects and contribute to successful technical outcomes. Depending on your skills, you may take on project management responsibilities (e.g., resourcing, programming, commercial and contract matters, risk and quality, procurement). You will support new business development to grow the PCO account. You will be supported to develop your career and may mentor other team members.
About You
We are looking for flexible and motivated team members with a genuine passion for the maritime world. Characteristics include:
* Methodical approach to problem solving
* Ability to use initiative to undertake tasks efficiently and independently
* Excellent verbal communication to liaise with clients and team members and build networks
* Excellent written communication, attention to detail, and ability to demonstrate accurate technical analysis and good report writing
* Chartered through a relevant professional institution with experience delivering ports projects using innovative and digitally driven techniques
Role is available as part-time, job share, or full-time. Travel overseas for project assignments may be required.
