Im supporting a well-regarded global financial services group hiring an experienced Tax Advisor. Based from Rugby, the team provides comprehensive UK direct tax support, delivering telephone and written consultancy plus technical guidance to departments across the business. The set-up is mainly remote, with just one day a week in the Rugby office and the rest from home. They welcome applicants from both HMRC and practice backgrounds, making experience from either environment highly relevant for this role.
Main duties of the position:
* Provide clear, accurate advice on UK direct tax by phone and in writing, backed up with legislation and HMRC references
* Research and resolve client queries, applying technical knowledge to practical situations faced by accountancy firms and their clients
* Support accountancy practices and affinity partners with consultancy services that help them manage tax risks effectively
* Keep accurate records of advice given and ensure all work complies with FCA and regulatory requirements
* Share knowledge with the wider team, including coaching and supporting less experienced colleagues
* Manage workload efficiently, balancing quick response times with the need for thorough technical research
* Stay up to date with tax legislation and HMRC guidance to ensure advice remains current and reliable
Salary up to £45,000
