Rhondda Cynon Taf Council Occupational Health team is a multi-disciplinary team operated by Occupational Health Physicians, Nurses, Physiotherapists, Counsellors, Wellbeing Advisor, Occupational Health Technician, and administrative support. The team play a vital role in the health and wellbeing of our employees, utilising specialist expertise to deliver clinical assessments and supportive interventions to enable the employers to deliver on their health and safety obligations.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a qualified physiotherapist with a keen interest in working collaboratively within the field of occupational health, to support health and wellbeing objectives outlined in our Corporate Plan and Workforce Well-being Strategy 2024/30.

The physiotherapist will work as part of the Occupational Health team, providing fitness for work assessments, guidance and therapeutic intervention to maximise the health and wellbeing of the service users. The appointed individual will be expected to provide support to the wider clinical team ensuring the service achieve its aim to maximise attendance and health promotion outcomes, whilst facilitating internal professional governance monitoring and development.

This post will require the appointed physiotherapist to work predominantly from the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Unit in Pontypridd, undertaking clinical duties and health promotion activities. A hybrid working pattern may be discussed with the Occupational Health Manager.
