Job Summary
The Band 3 Clinical Support Worker will work as part of the community Bladder and Bowel Specialist Service to undertake high‑quality, caring and compassionate personal care and associated duties as delegated by the Bladder and Bowel nurse Specialist under their direction, but not under direct supervision of the registered staff and working as part of the multi‑disciplinary team.
As a Band 3 Clinical Support Worker (CSW) you make a valuable and important contribution to the delivery of high‑quality healthcare, supporting the registered professional in the delivery of safe, effective, compassionate patient care in the patient's home, residential homes or a clinic room setting. This job description is to be read in conjunction with the person specification for this particular role.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake reassessments of patients in both the patient's own home and residential care settings.
* Provide health promotion to patients and their carers or relatives whenever possible, helping to prevent early admission into residential care due to poor continence management.
* Apply good interpersonal skills with a caring person‑centred approach.
Qualifications
Health Care Support Worker with experience in health and social care, NVQ3 in Health and Social Care.
Essential Requirements
A full driving licence and car owner/driver.
