Overview

Mixed Official Veterinarian – Dundee | Salary: £40,000 – £43,000 per year (depending on experience) | Full-time, Permanent


The Role

* Provide veterinary export certification of Products of Animal Origin (POAO) to EU and non-EU countries (around 50%).
* Deliver official controls within cutting plants on behalf of Food Standards Scotland (around 50%).
* Carry out food safety checks on export products.
* Stay up to date with Export Health Certification (EHC) requirements and Notes for Guidance.
* Build positive relationships with exporters and deliver high-quality certification services.


Requirements

* Veterinary medicine degree.
* Full membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
* Official Veterinarian course in official control in meat plants.
* Valid driving licence.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
* VISA sponsorship available if required.
