The Role As an EYFS Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess engaging and age-appropriate learning experiences that develop children’s skills across all areas of the EYFS. You will create a nurturing, stimulating environment that encourages exploration, communication, and independence. Observation and assessment will be key to planning effective next steps for each child. You will also work closely with teaching assistants and colleagues to ensure consistency and high-quality provision. Building strong partnerships with parents and carers is essential to support children’s development both in school and at home. Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality EYFS provision Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment Observe, assess, and record children’s progress accurately Use assessment to inform planning and next steps Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development Promote positive behaviour, independence, and communication skills Collaborate with teaching assistants and Early Years colleagues Communicate effectively with parents and carers Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development The Ideal Candidate The successful applicant will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Have experience teaching in EYFS or Nursery/Reception Demonstrate strong knowledge of the EYFS framework Be nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic Possess excellent classroom organisation and behaviour management skills Be reflective, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement Show a commitment to safeguarding and inclusion Early Career Teachers are welcome and will receive mentoring and support.
