Locum Consultant Urology

Responsibilities
* Provide senior clinical leadership in the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with urological conditions.
* Deliver consultant-led inpatient and outpatient care, including specialist clinics relevant to expertise (e.g. benign urology, oncology, endourology).
* Undertake and lead operative and procedural activities, ensuring high standards of care and patient safety.
* Provide senior review of complex and high‑risk patients, including timely decision‑making and escalation.
* Participate in the consultant on‑call rota, providing senior emergency cover and out‑of‑hours clinical leadership.
* Take overall responsibility for clinical decision‑making and outcomes for patients under care.
* Ensure compliance with clinical governance, NICE guidance, Trust policies, and national standards.
* Lead and participate in morbidity and mortality reviews, incident investigations, and learning processes.

Professional Experience
* Expressed interest in undergraduate and postgraduate education.
* A specialist interest to complement the existing interests of the department.
