About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a major system migration project, transitioning from Idox Acolaid to Idox Uniform/SaaS cloud. This role is a key part of our transformation programme and will ensure that business requirements are accurately captured, processes are optimised, and the migration is delivered smoothly with minimal disruption. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in business analysis for system migrations or transformations, with a strong understanding of local government processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Migration Support
o Lead business analysis activities for the migration from Idox Acolaid to Idox Uniform/SaaS cloud.
o Engage with stakeholders from various departments including planning, building control, and land charges to understand their needs and challenges.
* Requirements Gathering & Documentation
o Elicit, document, and validate business and system requirements.
o Analyse and map current ("as-is") processes, then design improved ("to-be") workflows to optimise processes.
* Data & Migration Support
o Support data migration activities, including data mapping, validation, and ensuring data integrity throughout the transition.
o Collaborate with technical teams, vendors, and project managers to align on migration tasks and timelines.
* Stakeholder Management
o Facilitate workshops, interviews, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure all business requirements are met and validated.
o Maintain strong communication with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment on requirements and expectations.
* Regulatory & Compliance
o Ensure that all processes and systems are compliant with local government regulations and other relevant requirements.
* Agile/Prince2 Methodologies
o Work within Agile or Prince2 frameworks to deliver the project efficiently, ensuring the integration of business needs with technical solutions.
Key Skills & Experience
* Essential
o Proven experience as a Business Analyst on system migration or transformation projects, particularly in local government environments.
o Strong knowledge of Idox Acolaid and Idox Uniform/SaaS cloud (highly desirable).
o Experience working in local government, planning, or regulatory environments.
o Expertise in requirements gathering, documentation, and process mapping (BRDs, process flows, user stories).
o Hands‑on experience with data migration, integration, and testing processes.
o Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
o Familiarity with Agile and/or Prince2 delivery methodologies.
* Desirable
o Experience with planning, land charges, or building control systems.
o Knowledge of data governance and GDPR compliance.
o Previous experience working with third‑party vendors and software suppliers.
