Role DescriptionThis is a full-time position for a Dean of Students. The Dean of Students will provide strategic leadership in fostering student success and engagement, ensuring a positive and inclusive virtual learning environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and implementing student support services, overseeing student activities and welfare programs, addressing students' academic and non-academic concerns, and ensuring compliance with institutional policies. The Dean will collaborate with faculty, staff, and academic departments to enhance student retention and success while being an advocate for student needs.
Qualifications
* Leadership and administrative experience in student affairs, student support services, and program management
* Skills in conflict resolution, active listening, and fostering an inclusive student community
* Strong communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills
* Knowledge of online education platforms, innovative teaching methods, and virtual engagement strategies
* Proficiency in analysing student data to inform programs aimed at enhancing retention and satisfaction
* Master's degree in Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, or a related field (Doctorate preferred)
* Proven track record of implementing initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion
* Ability to motivate teams and work collaboratively in a remote environment
