Wakefield with National Travel Competitive Rates Excellent Benefits Package About the Role As 33kV SAP / HV Electrical Fitter you will be joining an award winning business and working on numerous client sites maintaining Transformers and Switchgear projects across the UK. What you will be doing: Working on HV, LV, Transformers, Switchgear and Associated Equipment. Carrying out service / remedial works on Equipment. Able to write up detailed quality reports, daily site reports and such. Carry out electrical testing and fault finding. Carry out mechanical modifications and repairs. Carry out routine PPM (planned preventive maintenance) to a manufacturer’s standard. Be proactive in reporting faults to equipment, Ability to test LV protection and type up accurate reports of results. Install HV/LV panels and transformers to manufacturers standard Senior Authorised Person Accountabilities: To comply with the companies HV safety rules & procedures at all times Undertake the necessary SAP approved training together with any refreshers Be appointed by Authorising Engineer and assessed as competent to act as SAP Produce accurate switching programmes Issue of safety related documents to persons qualified to receive them Maintain a log of SAP activity for audit purposes Carry out functional / Operational switching of HV distribution systems within your appointment criteria Maintenance & testing of HV switchgear within your appointment criteria Participate in company out of hours on call system as required What you will bring: BTEC in Electrical Engineering or C&G equivalent. A thorough Understanding of Electrical Power System up to 33kV. Good Transformer knowledge and understanding Have operational experience as a HV Electrical Fitter. Ability to work proactively on your own or in a team Be able to prioritise workload Ensure work is to a high standard when working on client sites.
