Overview
SEND Teaching Assistant – Autism & Communication Support – Nuneaton. Location: Nuneaton, Warwickshire. Contract Type: Full-time. Salary: £89 – £105 per day / £445 – £525 per week. We are recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to support a KS1 pupil in Nuneaton with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). The pupil has sensory needs, communication difficulties and requires a structured, consistent approach.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 support to a KS1 child with autism.
* Implement visual supports, sensory strategies and clear routines.
* Encourage communication and social interaction with peers.
* Support transitions and reduce anxiety triggers.
* Work with the SENCO and parents to review progress.
About You
* Experience supporting children with autism or communication difficulties.
* Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or visual supports (advantageous).
* Patient, calm and adaptable.
* Enthusiastic about supporting inclusion and progress.
