We have a strong presence in poultry, chilled, and bakery food categories. About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Hygiene Manager to join our team at our soups and sauces manufacturing site. This is a key leadership role responsible for maintaining the highest hygiene and food safety standards across a 24-hour operation.
The position is primarily day-based; however, there will be an expectation to support night operations when required. Given the nature of the site, approximately 80% of hygiene activity oversight will relate to night shift operations.

Lead and manage hygiene standards across a 24/7 production environment
Oversee hygiene operations on both day and night shifts, ensuring consistency and compliance
Develop, implement, and continuously improve hygiene systems and procedures
Create and manage swab programmes and environmental monitoring plans
Liaise with laboratory teams and lead investigations where results fall outside acceptable limits
Ensure full understanding and application of high-risk and high-care standards
Manage and optimise CIP (Clean-In-Place) systems, ensuring effective automated cleaning processes
Take ownership of PPE management, including availability, compliance, and maintenance
Manage pest control contracts, including routine visits, reporting, and corrective actions
Drive continuous improvement initiatives relating to hygiene and food safety
About You
Proven experience in a hygiene management role within food manufacturing
Experience working in soups, sauces, or liquid-based production environments is highly desirable
Strong understanding of high-risk and high-care food production environments
Hands-on experience with CIP systems and automated cleaning processes
Ability to develop and manage hygiene systems independently
Strong analytical skills with experience in investigations and root cause analysis
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external partners
Flexible and adaptable, with willingness to support night operations when required
