About the Role
Are you a Chemical / Process Engineer with extensive project engineering experience? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Projects / Process Engineer to join a global FMCG manufacturing company in the Northwest. You will work closely with the Head of Capital Investment, managing project engineering services to support manufacturing operations, including specification, installation, commissioning, and validation of process and utilities support equipment.
Responsibilities
* Lead process understanding and project engineering capabilities in manufacturing processing areas
* Manage multi-million-pound budgets, including detailed design, supplier coordination, installation, and commissioning of process equipment
* Design and implement innovative engineering solutions for continuous improvement
* Oversee equipment selection, specification, and procurement
* Provide technical expertise on existing and new engineering equipment
* Lead process engineering best practices and technical project leadership
* Support process improvement projects with technical change control
* Lead CAPEX projects, RCA investigations, validation activities, and explore new technologies for efficiency improvements
* Ensure compliance with site SOPs
Requirements
* Experience in process improvement and efficiency projects within regulated manufacturing environments
* BSc/BEng in Process or Chemical Engineering or related field
* Experience in Process, Food & Drink, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, FMCG, or similar industries
* Operational knowledge of manufacturing equipment
* Proven track record in leading engineering projects in manufacturing processing
* Experience with technology transfer and product development processes
* Ability to evaluate innovative technology areas relevant to products
