Senior Project Manager - DC/HP role at Computacenter
We are excited to announce we are now looking to hire a Senior Project Manager/Programme Manager, with experience of delivering large‑scale International Data Centre or High Performance Computing build projects, into our thriving Group Professional Services (GPS) organisation within Computacenter UK.
This is an exciting role in a dynamic and fast‑moving environment that is likely to require significant international travel. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the delivery of multiple Data Centre technologies rather than point solutions, the leadership of large multi‑skilled teams, and the gravitas expected from a leader in their field.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver complex and/or high‑risk, end‑to‑end solutions, possibly across multiple projects or significant work‑streams on larger projects and programmes.
* Lead the engagement, be responsible for the business outcome, and for the overall success of the change activity.
* Work with Assurance and Governance to ensure projects or PMOs meet Computacenter’s and the Customer’s requirements and needs.
* Develop the delivery approach, define delivery, and ensure successful delivery of assignments from inception through to completion.
* Build and manage your team, ensure agreed products are delivered, maintain effective communication, and manage project controls (risk, issue, customer dependencies and change).
* Present to the customer in a compelling way to support the sales team to achieve positive outcomes and support our growth agenda.
* Meet commitments to customers and internal stakeholders, delivering assignments within scope, time, and budget, and achieving agreed financial outcomes.
* Own or ensure end‑to‑end change processes are followed, ensuring full awareness, adoption of project outcomes, and minimising commercial exposure.
* Manage stakeholder relationships across Computacenter, suppliers, and customers, ensuring positive and constructive relationships.
Required Experience / Qualifications
* Familiarity with the latest technologies and the ability to articulate the benefits in line with Computacenter’s proposition.
* Trained and accredited in project management methodology, e.g., Prince2, Agile Techniques.
* A demonstrable track record of delivering complex, high‑risk, multiple successful outcomes with focus on large‑scale Data Centres or High Performance Computing.
* Demonstrable leadership skills and personal gravitas.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships.
* Able to apply a variety of influencing skills to enable the required outcomes for stakeholders, achieving positive assignment outcomes.
* Ability to adapt personal style and approach to meet specific customer needs and resolve conflicts.
* Understand and articulate the wider context of the project being led.
* Excellent literacy and numeracy.
