As a Senior ER Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering high‑quality ER service across the business, working closely with a specific business area and managing your own case load. You will act as a trusted advisor to partnering teams and senior leaders, ensuring day‑to‑day alignment on ER approach, risk mitigation and best practice. Alongside the ER management team you will support and develop team members, ensuring high‑quality output and a positive manager experience.
What You’ll Do
* Act as a senior subject matter expert in complex and high‑risk ER matters.
* Lead on the resolution of sensitive and high‑profile ER cases, ensuring outcomes are legally compliant, commercially sound and aligned to Sky’s values and behaviours.
* Be aligned to a business area alongside your ER Manager, working closely with people partnering teams and senior leaders to proactively manage escalations and share patterns, trends and insights.
* Manage escalations and cases that fall outside standard process by owning and leading risk calls, providing clear, pragmatic advice to support informed decision‑making.
* Develop and mentor ER team members, supporting their growth through coaching, knowledge sharing and upskilling on emerging ER trends and legislative changes.
* Champion continuous improvement initiatives by using data and insights to identify opportunities to enhance ER processes, policies and service delivery.
* Drive stakeholder engagement by building strong, collaborative relationships across HR, legal, Group Risk and business leadership teams to ensure a consistent and proactive approach to ER.
What You’ll Bring
* Extensive experience in complex Employee Relations case management, including high‑risk, sensitive or high‑profile case management.
* Strong understanding of UK and Ireland Employment Law and its practical application in a commercial environment.
* Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders, HR People Partners, legal and business teams.
* Excellent coaching and mentoring skills with a track record of developing others and sharing expertise across a team.
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
* Analytical mindset, with experience conducting case reviews or audits and using data to inform continuous improvement.
* Resilience and adaptability, able to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced and complex environment.

How You'll Work
We adopt a hybrid working approach to give more flexibility on where and how we work. You’ll work at our Osterley Campus and have the option to work from home, enjoying the convenience and collaboration of both environments.
Our Osterley Campus is a 10‑minute walk from Syon Lane train station, with free shuttle services to nearby tube stations. The campus features subsidised restaurants, cafés, a Waitrose, a gym, a cinema and a beauty salon. Bike shelters and showers are also available.
