As our Senior Marketing Analyst, you'll develop innovative approaches to demonstrate business value through robust data analytics. Working closely with Campaign Managers and the wider Marketing team, you'll create, support, and deliver outbound customer marketing campaigns that make a real difference.
What's the role?
This is a 9-month fixed-term contract with the potential for extension, with hybrid work options in the Glasgow office, depending on business requirements.
In this position, you'll support and influence senior stakeholders through data-derived insights, using advanced analytical techniques. You'll be responsible for devising and delivering commercially actionable thought leadership that drives real business outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Marketing Analytics: Become a subject matter expert on Golden Charter's data sources and advance data analytics capabilities to empower Marketing teams.
Reporting & Analysis: Produce Power BI dashboards, support Google Analytics governance, and provide optimisation recommendations.
Customer Strategy: Analyse customer behaviour to enhance experience and drive segmentation for targeted audience development.
Strategic Input: Deliver insight-led, data-driven decision-making as a trusted adviser to senior Marketing colleagues.
Who are we looking for?
We're seeking a Senior Marketing Analyst with proven experience in data analysis, expertise in data visualisation and web analytics, who is comfortable working collaboratively within Marketing teams and genuinely interested in business transformation projects.
Essential experience and skills:
Expertise in data visualisation tools, specifically Power BI
Expertise in web analytics, particularly Google Analytics
Strong knowledge of SQL (3+ years) and Python (3+ years)
Significant proven experience in data analytics and database analysis, including the application of data in marketing contexts
A blend of Marketing, Business, and Technology knowledge
Understanding of ETL processes and data integration
Excellent stakeholder management skills, both internal and with agencies
Desirable experience:
Experience in a senior role with the ability to work autonomously as a self-starter
Experience working with and mentoring junior colleagues
