Join Our Team as a Principal Naval Architect!

Salary: Up to £58,000, depending on skills and experience.
What You'll Be Doing:
As a Principal Naval Architect, you will leverage your specialized knowledge to undertake engineering activities assigned by the Project Lead Engineer or Naval Architect. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that all projects meet relevant processes and quality requirements. Depending on the project, you will:
* Assure drydockings of ships.
* Conduct ship stability and hydromechanic analysis.
* Perform structural design and analysis for various materials, including metals and composites.
* Conduct design or material state surveys.
* Manage complex engineering changes.
* Create and assure structural repair plans for metals or composites, supporting periodic surveys and certification requirements.
* Maintain design intent by promoting compliance in your area of operations.
* Ensure Naval Authority Key Hazard Certification is upheld, identifying and challenging design changes that may compromise it.
* Provide tasking and technical oversight to naval architects and engineers, coordinating and prioritizing tasks.
* Lead the management of stability and watertight integrity compliance.
Your Skills and Experience:
* Qualified to degree level, with an MEng in Naval Architecture, Marine Technology, or Ship Science.
* Chartered Engineer status or a clear path to achieving it within a defined timeframe.
* Proven experience in naval architecture and engineering.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
