Your new role
As Site Engineer, you’ll be a key part of the site leadership team, working closely with the Section Engineer and Site Management to drive the successful delivery of thisplex civils scheme. The role is permanent and site‑based, offering real exposure to day‑to‑day engineering operations on a major infrastructure project.
Your duties will include:
- Setting out works accurately in line with design drawings and specifications
- Checking drawings and quantities to ensure technical accuracy
- Coordinating material requirements and supporting procurement activities
- Planning and organising site activities to meet programme milestones
- Liaising effectively with subcontractors, consultants and the wider project team
- Supervising site labour and monitoring subcontractor performance
- Ensuring all worksply with Health, Safety and Environmental requirements
- Maintaining quality documentation and resolving engineering challenges
- Arranging testing, calibration and maintaining a detailed site diary
- Supporting the Site Manager with additional engineering and coordination tasks

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this Site Engineer position, you’ll bring solid site experience alongside strongmunication and organisational skills.
Essential requirements:
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or Construction Project Management
- Demonstrable experience working as a Site Engineer on civil engineering projects
- Strong surveying and setting out capability
- Clear, confidentmunication skills
- Valid CSCS / CSR / Safepass card
- Up‑to‑date Health & Safety induction and First Aid at Work certification
Desirable experience:
- Previous work with a main contractor on highways, rail or public realm schemes
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, GPS and surveying equipment
- Understanding of materials, testing procedures and quality assurance processes
- Knowledge of programming, procurement and site coordination
- Ability to support junior staff and contribute to team development
