Purpose of the role:
Responsible for all aspects of technical product development for Pretty Green.
The successful candidate must have experience in working in a fast-paced menswear environment, and have experience of working as part of a small time, while being comfortable of working independently and running the department critical path.
The role is ultimately responsible for ensuring the department achieves the key critical path dates while ensuring high standards are maintained and great garments are delivered.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Ensure the fit and quality of products is of the highest standard.
Create and maintain detailed tech packs.
Support product teams to ensure the required margin targets are met.
Manage sample submissions and ensure the critical path is maintained across all product categories.
Onboarding of new suppliers.
Ensuring bulk production is compliant with all regulations and in-house standards, with relevant paperwork being stored centrally.
Ensure all product is fitted and approved within the critical path timeline.
Communicate clear and precise fitting comments, including illustrated fit changes.
Drive consistency in fit and quality through the product development / approval processes
Communicate testing requirements, resolving any issues as they arise.
Build and maintain the supplier manual, providing the suppliers with all necessary details to ensure success.
What you'll need:
Experience working in a fast paced mono-brand.
Experiece working technical background in garment construction with specialist knowledge of more complex designs (e.g. hoods / cuff details).
A broad technical experience of casual and semi-formal product and fabrics across clothing, accessories, and footwear.
An in-depth knowledge of the production process including test reports.
Commercial acumen and an ability to constructively challenge.
An understanding of compliance around manufacturing.
Highly organised and an ability to meet deadlines.
Pro-active and hands-on in style.
A collaborative team player who enjoys working collaboratively but is equally comfortable working independently.
