Team Manager – Family Help Service
Up to £62,451 per annum
Permanent, Full Time (36 Hours), Tooting, London, Ofsted Rating: ‘Outstanding’
About the Role
Lead a stable, knowledgeable and creative team of social workers supporting children and families. Provide creative leadership, guidance and management to maximise impact and growth. Ensure delivery of evidence‑based interventions that respect children’s rights and support families to build strengths and choose to live at home wherever possible. Collaborate with co‑located practitioners across children, adult mental health, substance misuse and domestic abuse.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage social workers, fostering a culture of exemplary practice.
* Co‑produce child and family assessments under Child in Need and Child Protection frameworks.
* Build and maintain family‑led plans, ensuring compliance with legal frameworks.
* Support and supervise team members, providing small‑team structure, regular supervision and appropriate caseload distribution.
* Partner with multidisciplinary teams to embed a systemic practice model.
Qualifications and Experience
* Social work qualification with Social Work England membership and successful completion of ASYE.
* Proven leadership and management experience in a similar role.
* Experience of working across voluntary and statutory agencies, applying relevant legislation and guidance.
* Excellent communicator, collaborator, compassionate and understands needs of children and young people.
* ‘Can do’ attitude, creativity, champion for children and families.
