Reader (Associate Professor)/Professor in Optical Fibres
The Department of Physics at the University of Bath is seeking a senior academic to establish an independent research activity in the design, fabrication and application of hollow-core and photonic crystal optical fibres. The role combines leadership, research, teaching and service to the department and the Optical Fibres Group, and the Centre for Photonics.
Responsibilities
* Develop and execute a research program aligned with university and funder priorities, leveraging shared facilities.
* Manage and lead research projects and postdoctoral researchers.
* Provide undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, develop course materials and assess student performance.
* Contribute to departmental governance, the Optical Fibres Group and the Centre for Photonics.
