An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational, passionate, dynamic and innovative senior nurse to join our team as Matron within Integrated Medicine. This is a 12-month secondment.
We seek an exceptional individual passionate about leading teams to deliver safe, effective clinical care, positively impacting patient experience. The Matron will ensure services meet performance, financial, and government objectives, while professionally leading and developing motivated teams.
The Matron is a key member of the Care Group leadership team, responsible for patient safety, quality, and experience across the group. The role involves developing future services, especially as care moves closer to the community and services are further developed. Clinical leadership is central to our care models and pathway redesigns. The areas covered include CSRU, Stroke units (wards 8 and 9), BNRU, Community Stroke team, and specialists in Stroke, Neurology, and Cardiovascular PDNS. If you can meet this challenge, we want to hear from you.
The post requires providing specialist clinical knowledge and expertise, promoting best practice and outcomes for patients.

Person specification
Education, Qualifications & Training
* Registered Nurse
* Relevant Degree or Equivalent
* Evidence of further professional or management studies
* Masters or equivalent
* Post-registration clinical course
Experience
* Senior Nurse/Midwife experience, e.g., specialist nurse or management
* Operational and budget management experience
* Quality improvement implementation and monitoring
* Experience in patient safety improvement
* Experience in acute services
* Knowledge of workforce changes in Nursing & Midwifery
