Burton Borough School is seeking an inspiring and committed Maths Teacher to join our thriving department at a time of exciting growth. Located in the market town of Newport on the Shropshire/Staffordshire border, the school offers easy access to Shrewsbury, Stafford, Telford, and Wolverhampton, supporting a strong work‑life balance.
Role: Maths Teacher 1.0 – ECTs/MPS/UPS
Required: January 2026 or earlier

Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Maths lessons that foster curiosity and understanding.
* Use adaptive teaching approaches to meet diverse student needs and maximise progress.
* Collaborate within a strong Maths team to develop and deliver well‑sequenced curricula.
* Contribute to a culture of high standards, student voice, and continuous improvement.
* Support and participate in enrichment and extra‑curricular activities where appropriate.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Maths Teacher 1.0 – suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs), MPS, or UPS salary scales.
* Required January 2026 or earlier.
* Evidence of commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
