We are currently looking for a number of Site Engineer/Setting out Engineers to join our growing team on a permanent basis. Potential candidates will be interviewed as soon as possible.
Job summary
The Site Engineer is an integral member of the project team, responsible for the effective and efficient running of the site throughout the delivery of the project. The role can be based across the UK, with projects in London, West Midlands, Bristol, Cardiff, and Scotland.
Duties and responsibilities
- Providing setting out and as-built surveying will be core objective of your duty.
- Providing input into the Quality Assurance and Quality Control of the works and assisting in the monitoring of environmental impacts.
- Carrying out quality inspection and keeping up records (pre‑pour and post‑pour inspections).
- Ensuring the correct dimensional control of the project by setting out using all methods.
- Maintaining project documents in accordance with prescribed procedures and interpreting these to ensure the project is constructed correctly in accordance with the latest information.
- Assisting other team members to carry out their responsibilities as delegated.
- Ensuring company H&S are followed and implemented at all times.
- Monitoring the safety of the site and taking appropriate action as required.
- Taking off quantities for the ordering of materials and the planned progression of the works as required.
- Supporting supervisors and workforce with technical inputs.
Requirements
- A degree in Civil Engineering/Surveying.
- Minimum 1.5–2 years’ experience in RC Frame and groundwork/Civil engineering projects.
- Experience working for RC Frame sub‑contractors in the UK.
- Valid CSCS card – white.
