Overview
As a Residential Senior Carer at a Barchester care home, you'll look after the different needs of our residents to enable us to deliver quality, person-centred care and support. You will be responsible for leading a team of care staff, including training, supervisions and delegating duties on shift. You will also support the administering and ordering of medication, reviewing and updating resident care plans and risk assessments, and liaising with GPs, district nursing teams and resident family members. Responsibilities
* Lead a team of care staff, including training, supervision and delegating duties on shift.
* Administer and order medications as appropriate.
* Review and update resident care plans and risk assessments.
* Liaise with GPs, district nursing teams and resident family members.
* Respect residents’ dignity and preferences and contribute to a warm, welcoming, and vibrant environment.
About You / Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
* Previous experience in a residential care setting with proven team leadership skills.
* Ability to make appropriate decisions to support residents’ needs and wellbeing.
* Warm-hearted, compassionate and committed to providing individualized care.
* Willingness to participate in ongoing training opportunities and pursue career development (e.g., progression to Care Practitioners, Care Community Leads or nursing pathways).
