The Role
We are looking for a skilled Veneerer to join our growing workshop team, working on high-end bespoke interiors for the luxury residential market. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in precision, craftsmanship, and finishing to an exceptional standard.
You will be responsible for delivering veneered components from start to finish, working closely with designers, cabinet makers, and finishers to ensure the highest quality outcomes on every project.
Key Responsibilities
* Carrying out veneering work from start to finish to a high standard
* Selecting appropriate veneer species and applying book matching, slip matching, and quartering techniques
* Reading and working accurately from technical drawings
* Safely operating guillotines, stitchers, and platen presses
* Using woodworking hand tools with confidence and precision
* Maintaining high standards of workmanship, accuracy, and attention to detail
* Communicating effectively within the workshop team and maintaining a professional approach at all times
Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in furniture manufacturing (fitted and free-standing)
* Proven ability to complete veneering work independently
* Strong understanding of veneer selection and matching techniques
* Experience working from technical drawings
* High standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail
* A positive, hardworking attitude with pride in your work
Desirable:
* Experience using panel saws
* Experience using speed sanders
* Experience in marquetry or decorative veneer work
