Centrado is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement operations, drive efficiency, and support strategic supplier relationships.
You will manage a small team and oversee all aspects of purchasing—from raising orders and managing stock levels to supplier negotiations and process improvement. What will you be doing for us?
1. Raise and manage purchase orders for stock and materials
2. Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely reordering
3. Liaise with UK and international suppliers on pricing, availability, and delivery
4. Track inbound shipments and coordinate with logistics and customs partners
5. Maintain accurate procurement records and update ERP systems
6. Resolve supply chain issues, delays, and discrepancies
7. Ensure compliance with company procedures and import regulations
8. Support the Managing Director with data insights for strategic supplier accounts
9. Lead supplier performance reviews and contract negotiations
10. Oversee SKU setup, lifecycle management, and discontinuations
11. Identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities
12. Collaborate with Finance on budgets, cost control, and payment terms
13. Mentor and develop the Purchasing team, supporting recruitment and onboarding
14. Drive continuous improvement across systems, workflows, and team performance
We would love to hear from you if you have:
15. Minimum 3 years’ experience in purchasing/procurement, ideally in import/distribution
16. Strong understanding of international supply chain processes
17. Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach
18. Proficient in spreadsheets and ERP systems (e.g. Sage, NetSuite, SAP)
19. High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
20. Experience with customs documentation and Incoterms
21. Familiarity with EU or Far East suppliers (desirable)
22. CIPS qualification or working towards it (advantageous but not essential)
