Job Description
A well-established architectural practice with an in-house structural engineering team is looking to appoint a Structural Engineer to join its Sheffield-based office. The consultancy employs around 100 professional staff, with a close-knit engineering team of 13, and delivers innovative, technically robust projects across the UK.
This is a full-time, predominantly office-based role offering the opportunity to work closely alongside architects and other built-environment professionals in a collaborative, design-led environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will be involved in the structural analysis and design of buildings from concept through to construction across a wide range of sectors.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
* Structural analysis and design in steel, concrete, masonry and timber
* Preparation of structural calculations, specifications and technical reports
* Site inspections and structural appraisals
* Working collaboratively with architects, engineers and external consultants
* Supporting projects from early design stages through to delivery
