This is a hyrbid role based out of Royal Mail Farringdon 3 days per week.
Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for shaping the future of a major UK business? We’re looking for a Senior Strategy Manager to join Royal Mail’s central strategy team. This high-impact role will help define and drive the long-term strategic direction of Royal Mail and Parcelforce, working closely with senior leaders across the organisation.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Strategy Development, you’ll lead the development of long-term strategic plans, initiate cross-functional workstreams, and produce high-quality materials for executive decision-making. You’ll play a key role in aligning functional strategies and supporting transformation across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead development of Royal Mail’s 5–10 year strategic agenda
• Scope and launch strategic workstreams across all functions
• Translate functional strategies into a coherent business strategy
• Provide structured recommendations to the CEO and Executive Board
• Build alignment and consistency across the organisation
• Mentor junior team members and support their development
About You
You’re a highly analytical and collaborative leader with experience in strategy consulting or industry. You thrive in complex environments and bring a data-driven approach to solving strategic challenges.
What You’ll Bring:
• Experience of consulting and/or industry experience (Consultancy preferred)
• Strong strategic, financial, and commercial acumen
• Experience leading high-value strategic projects and influencing senior stakeholders
• Excellent modelling, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Degree in Business, Economics, Finance or similar; MBA desirable
• Passion for logistics and transformation (experience desirable)
