Your Focus
As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will be pivotal in both frontend and backend development, crafting responsive, scalable web applications.
This role requires strong expertise across the stack — from UI/UX design principles to backend integrations. You will design and implement APIs using JavaScript, TypeScript, and React, ensuring seamless performance and scalability.
We’re looking for a proactive and experienced engineer who thrives in a scaling organisation and enjoys leading complex projects from conception to delivery. You’ll be both a technical leader and a driver of innovation across the team.
Key Responsibilities
Data Pipeline Architecture
Design and implement robust, scalable data pipelines.
Optimise data flow between databases (MySQL, MongoDB) and applications.
Fullstack Development
Develop high-quality, scalable applications using Node.js, TypeScript, and React.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and integrations.
Cloud and Containerisation
Manage and optimise AWS infrastructure for high availability and fault tolerance.
Implement and maintain Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration.
Database Management
Develop and optimise SQL and NoSQL database solutions.
Ensure data integrity and high performance in database operations.
Code Quality and Review
Maintain high standards through code reviews and automated testing.
Mentor junior developers and promote a culture of continuous learning.
Project Leadership
Lead development projects, from planning to delivery.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and timelines.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
6+ years of proven experience in software engineering.
Strong fullstack development background, with a focus on JavaScript, TypeScript, and React. Proficiency with backend technologies such as Node.js.
Experience with SQL and database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL alternatives.
Familiarity with frontend frameworks and state management libraries like Redux or Context API.
Hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS or GCP), particularly for deploying and managing applications0.
Strong understanding of RESTful API design (GraphQL experience a plus).
Analytical mindset with the ability to design, optimise, and troubleshoot complex UIs and fullstack integrations.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience mentoring others and working with UX/UI designers and product managers.
Preferred Qualities
Passion for emerging digital and virtual technologies.
Experience in marketing technology, SaaS, or startup environments is highly desirable.
Curiosity about evolving consumer-brand interactions in digital and virtual spaces.
