Experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant – Full Time

About the Role
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including:
* Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
* ADHD
* Speech and Language Difficulties
* SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs
* Moderate and Complex Learning Difficulties
You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and families to provide tailored support that enables students to access learning confidently and successfully.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support within the classroom
* Adapt learning activities to meet individual student needs
* Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development
* Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
* Assist with implementing EHCP targets and support strategies
* Build strong and professional relationships with students and staff
Requirements
* Previous experience working within SEN education or support settings is essential
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour positively and professionally
* Relevant qualifications or training in SEN/support work are advantageous
