Sous Chef - Bath
Location: High-End Hotel Kitchen
Salary: £16.00 per hour (OTE £18.40 per hour, including tronc)
Hours: 40 hours per week
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and driven Sous Chef to join a high-end hotel kitchen focused on delivering exceptional dining experiences. Working with high-quality, locally sourced ingredients and seasonal produce, you will play a key role in creating innovative, modern British dishes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Sous Chef who thrives in a fast-paced, energetic kitchen and is keen to contribute creatively to ever-evolving menus.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
* Manage one of the key kitchen sections with confidence
* Contribute to menu development and new dish creation
* Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
* Oversee health & safety, hygiene, and compliance
* Assist with ordering, stock control, and rota management
* Lead, train, and motivate junior chefs and apprentices
About You
* Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous ready to step up
* Solid knowledge across all areas of the kitchen
* Passion for modern British cuisine and sustainable sourcing
* Natural leader with the ability to inspire and develop others
* Confident working in a fast-paced, high-standard environment
* Strong organisational and communication skills
